Protection of Tigrayan Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Protection of Tigrayan Refugees and Asylum Seekers

There has been a surge of the ethnic profiling of Tigrayans across Ethiopia, beginning with the disarming and rounding of those serving as Peacekeepers in the United Nations and African Union before placing them on leave indefinitely. Tigrayan civilians, journalists and activists continue to be arbitrarily beaten, unlawfully detained, arrested without due process and transported to undisclosed locations. Over 40,000 Tigrayan owned businesses have been closed in Addis Ababa alone. Tigrayans are not safe in Ethiopia. They must be protected.
